343 NYC Refund & Transfer Policy

1. Standard Courses

  • Full Refund (minus $200 Refund Fee)
    • Available up to 30 days before the start of the course.
    • Also available within 24 hours of payment.
    • All requests must be submitted via email to [email protected].
    • Refund processing can take up to 30 days.
  • 75% Refund
    • Available for requests made up to 14 days before the course start date.
  • 50% Refund
    • Available for requests made within 14 days before the first class and before the beginning of the second class.
  • No Refund
    • After the second class has begun, no refunds will be issued.
  • Transfers
    • Enrollment can be transferred to a different course until the start of the third class.
    • All transfer requests must be sent via email to [email protected].
    • Each transfer is subject to a $150 Transfer Fee.
    • No transfers allowed after the third class begins.

2. Course Bundles

  • Refund Rules
    • The same refund rules as Standard Courses apply.
  • Cutoff for Refunds
    • All refund requests must be made before the beginning of the second class of the first course in the Bundle.
    • Any request made after that point renders the entire Bundle non-refundable.

 

3. Workshop Refund Policy

  • Refund Eligibility
    • Full Refund (minus $75 Refund Fee): Requests must be made up to 30 days before the workshop start date.
    • 75% Refund: Requests made up to 14 days before the workshop start date.
    • 50% Refund: Requests made within 14 days before the workshop start date.
    • No Refund: From the day the workshop starts onward, no refunds will be issued.
  • Request Procedure
    • All refund requests must be emailed to [email protected].
    • Refunds can take up to 30 days to process.
  • Transfers
    • Students may transfer to a future workshop by paying a $50 Transfer Fee.
    • Transfer requests must be made via email to [email protected], at least 24 hours before the workshop begins.

 

4. Adult Summer Program Refund Policy

  • Non-Refundable Deposit
    • The first $750 of tuition fees is non-refundable.
  • Refund Tiers
    • Up to 45 days before the start: Full refund (minus the $750 non-refundable deposit).
    • Up to 30 days before the start: 75% refund.
    • Within 30 days before the start: 50% refund.
    • Within 14 days before the start, and before the beginning of the second day of the program: 25% refund.
  • No Refund
    • After the second day of the program has begun, no refunds will be issued.
  • Transfers
    • Students may transfer to a future program by paying a $300 Transfer Fee.

5. Middle & High School Summer Camp Refund Policy

  • Full Refund (minus $200 Refund Fee)
    • Available up to 45 days before the start of the camp.
    • Also available within 24 hours of payment.
    • Requests must be emailed to [email protected].
    • Refunds can take up to 30 days to process.
  • 75% Refund
    • For requests made up to 30 days before the start of the camp.
  • 50% Refund
    • For requests made within 30 days before the start of the camp and up to 14 days before the camp.
  • 25% Refund
    • For requests made within 14 days before the start of the camp and before the beginning of the second day.
  • No Refund
    • Any request made after the beginning of the second day of the camp is non-refundable.
  • Transfers
    • Enrollment can be transferred to a different course until the start of the third class.
    • All transfer requests must be emailed to [email protected].
    • Transfers are subject to a $150 Transfer Fee.
    • No transfers allowed after the third class begins.

 

6. Private Class Refund Policy

  • Our instructors are working musicians who dedicate time in their schedules specifically to teach — turning down other commitments to be available for our students. Out of respect for their time, we maintain a strict cancellation policy for all private lessons.

    24 hours’ notice required To cancel or reschedule a private lesson, you must notify your instructor and [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance.

    Late cancellations forfeit the lesson Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the lesson being forfeited — no exceptions.

    7. Course Expiration

    • All courses must be used within one year of the purchase date, unless otherwise agreed in writing via email with 343 Labs administration.
    • Any course not used within one year will be deemed invalid and not eligible for a refund.

    8. Postponement & Cancellation

    • 343 Labs Cancellation
      • If 343 Labs cancels a course for any reason, students will receive a 100% refund within 30 days after the scheduled start date.
    • Postponement or Rescheduling
      • 343 Labs reserves the right to postpone or reschedule a course (or portion of a course) due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, low enrollment).
      • Postponement or rescheduling does not entitle students to any form of refund.

     

    9. Student Absences

    • Students are responsible for attending all scheduled classes.
    • If a student is absent for any reason, they may schedule a private makeup lesson at their own cost, subject to instructor availability.
    • Failing to attend class or not scheduling a makeup lesson does not entitle a student to any refund.

     

    10. Discounts

    • Promotional Discounts
      • Any course discounted via a promotion (other than Early Bird) cannot be refunded.
    • Early Bird Discounts
      • Early Bird enrollments follow the Standard Courses refund policy.
    • Transfers to Another Person
      • All courses can be transferred to another person upon request, for a $200 fee.

     

    11. Miscellaneous

    • 343 Labs reserves the right to change the advertised instructor without notice.
    • A change of instructor does not entitle students to any form of refund.
